Background
News

Be an NABH Advocate!

Since 1933, NABH has been a national leader in behavioral health advocacy and has a proven track record on legislative and regulatory issues. NABH has established relationships and meets regularly with Members of Congress, Executive Branch representatives, and other industry stakeholders on your behalf.

These are NABH’s advocacy priorities for 2018:

  • Remove Barriers to Care: Congress should eliminate outdated federal rules blocking access to cost-effective treatments.

  • Combat the Opioid Crisis: Congress should increase access to substance use disorder treatment.

  • Expand the Behavioral Health Workforce: Congress should expand the mental health and substance use disorder workforce.

Please take some time to read the following advocacy materials. We also urge you to share this information with others, including your federal, state, and local government officials and their staff.

As members of NABH, you maximize your organization’s impact when you align yourself with NABH. Your business succeeds when your industry succeeds!
