Performance measures
Background
News

Behavioral healthcare providers continually work to ensure and improve quality and accountability.  Performance measures are increasingly being used to provide feedback and opportunities for performance improvement.

Current performance measurement efforts include:

NAPHS has been playing a lead role in developing measures that are meaningful, measureable, and manageable.

The association serves on several Technical Expert Panels, and works with all types of stakeholder groups.

In a major public-private collaboration, NAPHS signed a Teaming Agreement with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) and the NASMHPD Research Institute (NRI) to work on performance measurement focused on finding common ground in data-collection to improve patient care.
